Grizzly 399 Project

Our campaign goal is simple: we want to raise $1 million towards grizzly and wildlife education and safety in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. These tax-deductible donations (if you itemize) in care of The Deidre Bainbridge Wildlife Fund, a Wyoming 501(c)(3) organization, will be used to fund grants to wildlife-oriented organizations who present, and have approved, innovative programs for wildlife education and safety.

In 2002, we raised over $500,000, a portion of which was used to commission a unique bigger-than-life bronze sculpture of Grizzly 399 and her four baby cubs from 2020. We plan to have this sculpture completed by July, 2023 and locate it in a public place near the eastern entrance to Grand Teton National Park. We have budgeted development and promotional expenses at less than $50 thousand, most of which has already been paid by the founders' donations.
